Angeline “Angie” Helen Kreczmer, 93, of Sandwich passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet. She was born March 18, 1922 in Centralia, IL, the daughter of Boleslaw and Jadwiga Piaceka Gorski. She married Edmund J. Kreczmer on June 6, 1942 in Chicago, IL. In Chicago Roseland she was the owner of Kreczmer\s Pantry for 20 years. Angie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and very active over the years with Lake Holiday Garden Club and FVOAS in Sandwich and an avid Bridge Player.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Wally Watt of Dyer, IN and Judy Kreczmer of Sandwich, IL; six grandchildren: Jodi Steele, Timothy Julie Kreczmer, Jeena Dukovac, TomCindyKreczmer, Crystal Watt and KyleChris Watt and her ten great-grandchildren: Michael Watt, Avery and Quianna Herron, Timothy, Abigail, Alex, and Owen Kreczmer, Brielle Dukovac, Alanna Steele and Aidan Watt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Timothy A. Kreczmer, her five sisters and five brothers.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk with Father Kevin Butler officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Somonauk. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk with the Rosary being recited at 7:45pm.
