Angelina Yavonne Guerrero was born October 22, 1979, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL to parents Tony Guerrero and Charen Mattingly. From the very beginning Angie was full of love and laughter. Angie was known to be the life of the party with her infectious humor and a contagious laugh. She had an amazing sense of humor. Although Angie did not have children of her own, she had a gift with all children who were always drawn to her because of the way she was able to connect with them and made them feel safe, special, unique, and loved no matter who they were. She loved to play games, make art, and bake with them. She also connected with those with special needs and sought them out and never missed an opportunity for conversation, jokes, tickles, and hugs.
Angie loved Wu Tang, social media, clothes, makeup, hair, baking and trying out different restaurants. She was a master at applying makeup and was often asked to do it on others. She was a reliable sister, daughter, cousin, and friend. All you had to do was ask. She was the person who would jump in the car with you and go on a road trip to anywhere (especially if it was last minute!). She saw the beauty in everything. Angie loved to be around people and no one more than her family. Her dad adored her and was her best friend and partner in crime and its where she got her sense of humor and love for road trips. She also loved spending time with her mom, sister, and brother. Her heart was huge, and one of her many tattoos was symbol that meant love, and when asked why she got it her reply was “because I love everyone”.
Angie is survived by her dad, Anthony Guerrero, mom Charen Mattingly, brother Ruben Santana, sister Sarah Guerrero, brother Charlie Mendoza, and sister Rosemary Davis. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents Cayetano and Delores Guerrero as well as her maternal grandmother Helen Mattingly and an Uncle Bill Mattingly.
