Amos E. Barlow, 84, of Plano, Illinois passed away, Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born November 11, 1924 in Bible Grove, IL the son of Alva Olin and Opal Ellen Poynter Barlow. He married Norma Childers on November 5, 1943 in Louisville, IL. Amos was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during WWII. He was a member of the Plano American Legion. He was employed for twenty years at Henry-Pratt company in Aurora until retiring in 1986.
He is survived by one son, Jay Barlow of Plano, IL; two daughters, Patty (Gary) Wirth of Belvidere, IL and Judy (Barry) Bedford of Plano, IL; five grandchildren, Michael Wirth, Jami (Bill) Richards, Melissa (Mitch) Hilden, Ryan (Missy) Bedford and Brianne Bedford; one great grandson, Blake Hilden; one brother, Dean (Grace) Barlow of Lovington, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Norma and one sister Grace Flinn.
