Allene Brinkman, 91, of Yorkville passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Hillside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Yorkville. She was born March 25, 1926 in Ft. Smith, AR, the daughter of Jessie and Agnus (Slate) McAllister. She married Robert F. Everton in 1946 and after his passing she later married Boyd Brinkman in 1961. Allene was a member of the Methodist Church of Plano and formerly the Methodist Church of Port Byron. She enjoyed golf. Most of all, Allene loved being a caretaker and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Robert (Lynda) Everton of Joliet, IL and Richard (Lylln) Brinkman of Metairie, LA; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; one sister, Reba Fite of Franklin, TN; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, Robert and Boyd, one daughter, Susan Mundwiler, one step daughter, Bonnie Brinkman, one sister, Hilda Horner, and two brothers-in-law, Dick Fite and Ralph Horner.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, IL. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the funeral home in Plano. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
