Alice Pauline Stewart, 78, of Sandwich, IL passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL. She was born March 16, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Lyman and Betty (Smith) Furry. She married John Stewart on May 17, 1986 in Elmhurst, IL. Alice enjoyed traveling, Dancing With The Stars, her grandchildren’s events and just spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice (Burt) Norton of Aurora, CO and Kathleen (Herb) Mays of Harrison, OH; one son, Mark (Natalie) Holstlaw of Scottsdale, AZ; eight grandchildren, Eric (Kristina), Zack, Clay, Troy, Max, Conner, Josh and Julia; two great grandsons, Miles and Ethan; one sister, Jeri (Joe) Morris of Urbana, IL; two brothers, Dan (Brenda) Furry of Perrysville, IN and Steve Furry of Danville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL, with a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Second Church of Christ in Danville, IL with Chuck Eighner officiating as funeral celebrant. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the church in Danville. Memorials may be directed to Disabled Veterans.
