Alice M. Michael, 94, of Yorkville, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by her close family on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Presence Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born November 19, 1922, the daughter of Jesse James and Mary Dalton Michael. Alice owned and managed Terry’s Sportswear in Plano until the early 90’s.
She is survived by her sister, Margie Schumaker and Margie’s children: Sharon Shiltz of Yorkville, IL, James Schumaker of Plano, IL, David Schumaker of Morristown, TN, Lonnie Schumaker of Morristown, TN, Karen Buck Nesson of Plano, IL and Ronald Schumaker of Sandwich, IL; ten great nieces and nephews; several great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews; she is also survived by her brother Carl’s sons and their children; and one step niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers, her brother, Carl Michael, her brother-in-law, Stanton Schumaker and her niece-in-law, Martha Schumaker.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano. Graveside services will follow at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano.
