Sara Marie Taylor, 87, of Somonauk, IL passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Sandwich Rehab in Sandwich, IL. She was born February 8, 1935 in Leland, IL. the daughter of Clarence and Evelyn (Ward) Johnson. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Somonauk, Ladies Order of the Moose and volunteered for numerous activities at Valley West Hospital. She enjoyed the Cubs and boating on Lake Geneva. Her greatest love of all was spending time with her family. She is survived by one daughter, Cindy Lackey of Somonauk, IL; one son Craig (JoAnn) Fox of Somonauk, IL; six grandchildren, Ashley, Lindsay, Jordan, Jackie, Justin and Adam; eight great grandchildren, with one on the way and one brother Ron Johnson of Sycamore, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son and daughter-in-law Chuck and Patti Fox; one son-in-law Duane Lackey and one sister Helen Cox-Wingerter. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Somonauk, IL. with Pastor Chris Schoon officiating. Graveside service will follow at Baker Cemetery in Baker, IL. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Somonauk, IL.
