January 13, 1939 - May 19, 2021

Everett L. Hyatt, 82, of Sandwich, IL passed away May 19, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 13, 1939 in Plano, IL the son of Lyle and Lucille (Johnson) Hyatt. He married Linda L. Hickman on June 24, 1989 in Lake Geneva, WI. Everett was a US Army Reserve Veteran. He was a hard worker and made sure he provided for his family and friends. He was an avid bowler. Everett enjoyed going to the Sandwich Fair every year and he always made sure to take time off for it. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Linda, two daughters Lori (Edward) LaVoy of Spring, TX, and Debra (Dale) Harrolle of Somonauk, IL, one son Jeff (Deena) of Sandwich, IL, one sister Pat (Bill) Ennis of Plano,IL; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and counting, one stepson John Kelson of Sandwich, IL, one stepdaughter Dawn Woodring of Mt Dora, FL; several nieces and nephews, and his special canine Maggie. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Judy Hyatt, and one son Bobby Hyatt. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL with Reverend David J. Kaul officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday May 22, 2021 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home in Sandwich, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The DeKalb County Hospice, or the charity of one’s choice.
