Laurel Ann Berg

Laurel Ann Berg, 76, of Sycamore, Illinois passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Northwestern/Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, Illinois. She was born October 12, 1948 in DeKalb, Illinois the daughter of Charles and Winnifred (Oleson) Berg. Laurel has lived at the Opportunity House in Sycamore since 1999 where she has made many friends that became her family. She loved to visit with her family and friends, her outings for ice cream, getting weekly mail from her niece Dawn and spending time with her nephew Tim. She loved painting, making crafts, making jokes and tickling everyone she could reach. Laurel was also a big "I Love Lucy" fan.

Laurel leaves behind one brother, Doug (Midge) Berg of Steward, Illinois; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Winnifred Berg; two sisters, Christine Irwin and Carol Garza.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25 at 10:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church at 1100 Calvin Rd. in Rochelle, Illinois with Pastor Doug Forsberg officiating.
