Maureen L. Corrigan, 80, of Earlville, Illinois passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Mendota Lutheran Home in Mendota, IL. She was born June 23, 1932 in Ottawa, IL the daughter of Edward and Marie (Olson) Madden. Maureen married Ambrose B. Corrigan on October 27, 1951 in Earlville, IL. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Earlville and the Community Historical Society of Earlville. She worked at the Earlville Public Library for over 28 years as the Director. Maureen enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Marianne (Delbert) Zimmerlein of LaMoille, IL and Cindy (Tim) Cook of Earlville, IL; four sons, Michael (Peggy) Corrigan of Ottawa, IL, Mark (Donna) Corrigan, John (Dena) Corrigan and Doug (Christine) Corrigan all from Earlville, IL; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen (Edward) McLaughlin of Amboy, IL and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ambrose, two brothers, Edward and Clinton Madden.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 221 West Union St. Earlville, IL with Rev. Chris G. Haake officiating. Burial will follow in St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Earlville, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the church with a Liturgical Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons.
