Dean Allen Foster, 81, of Yorkville, IL went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, February 23, 2018 in Sandwich, IL. He was born January 31, 1937 in Ashley, IL the son of Floyd and Ruby (Schubach) Foster. He married Nancy L. Helling on October 22, 1955 in Shabbona, IL. Dean previously served in the armed forces, farmed in Yorkville for many years and then ran Service Master of Kendall County and Aurora. He drove a school bus for Yorkville School District in the 70’s. He enjoyed gardening and took pride in raising melons and entering them in the Sandwich Fair. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. Dean was an elder in his church at Plano Fellowship. He was on bowling leagues for many years and a horseshoe league. He was the Horseshoe State Champion in 2009. Dean Foster will be remembered for his love of people; the lit cross on the barn on Fox Road; his support for our veterans; this country; his jokes; playing pranks; great sense of humor; and especially for sharing the love of Christ with everyone he met.


He is survived by his wife of 62 years Nancy; his 5 children; Glenn (Linda) Foster of Yellville, ARK, Julie (Bob) Diveley of Plano, IL, Sue (Hans) Genrich of West Chicago, IL, Floyd Foster of Olathe, KS, and Mike (Anita) Foster of Earlville, IL; 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; two siblings, Phil (Shirley) Foster of Shabbona, IL, and Carolyn Foster of Rochelle, IL, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved family of God.


Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL. Visitation will follow the service from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. For more information or to sign the online guest book go to www.EighnerFuneralHomes.com
