Clara E. Behrens, 88, of Earlville, IL passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa, IL. She was born January 31, 1925 in Dalgren, IL the daughter of Mosie E. and Mable M. (Hook) Scrivner. Clara married William Knox Mays and after his passing later married Robert Behrens, Sr. She worked at Shabbona Nursing Home and helped Bob on the farm. Clara was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She is survived by four daughters, Patsy (Stan) Little of Washington, Rita Moser of Sandwich, IL, Nan Behrens of Harding, IL and Vicky Wiley of Earlville, IL; sixteen grandchildren, Kevin Phillips of Olney, IL, Tonya (Scott) Christensen of Sheridan, IL, Doug (Michelle) Fancher of Washington, Stephanie (Todd) Miller of New York, Tommy (Shannon) VanDuzer, III of Washington, Jeff VanDuzer of Washington, Edmond G. Forth of Madisonville, TN, William D. (Carol) Forth of Knoxville, TN, Shane M. Wiley of Earlville, IL, Tabitha (Chuy) Navarro of Earlville, IL, Corey Wiley of DeKalb, IL, C. Gunner Wiley of Earlville, IL, Robert (Andrea) Behrens of Leland, IL, Dionne (Lee) Perry of Ottawa, IL, Derick Behrens of Ottawa, IL and Dawn (Gabe) Borchsenius of Norway, IL; twenty-four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, one daughter, Linda Phillips, three sons, Robert Behrens, Jr., Roger Behrens and Rodney Behrens, one granddaughter, Katelynn Wiley, and one grandson, Little Nick.
Memorial services will be private. Burial of her urn will be in Norway Cemetery in Norway, IL with Robert Behrens, Sr.
